I've donated over $4000 to APSWA after adopting a dog from them. I'd like to know why apparently desperately needed donated funds are currently being used to pay for lawyers to keep an old and sick dog Arlo" from his loving foster mum Simone Wilkins. APS I question your commitment to the welfare of animals when you are denying Arlo a caring and safe home with exceptional and dedicated care. I question your motives and integrity if you are spending so much valuable time and money on depriving one dog rather than applying it to the care of others that should be benefiting from it. With the best of intentions I've offered to pay for Arlo's treatment to date but you obviously have so much money you don't need it. I've tried posting

You are meant to be providing protection to animals but you have taken Arlo off Simone for what? So he can die alone at the vet? She has given him the best home over the last 8 months and now you are just cutting her out! Arlo loves her and what you are doing is just cruel!!! This is not protection of animals, this is just ego and bullying people with self inflated importance! Do what’s right for Arlo and give him to Simone. Let her be there with him so he’s not scared and abandoned again! I’m absolutely appalled be the behavior of this organization!! Beg her to take the dog, then when she takes him to the vet they go in and take him!! She has signed the adoption papers even when you told her not to as she could be a long term foster, but you still won’t hand him over. She’s loved this dog for 8 months and now you go and steal the dog for petty personal issues! This organization is disgusting and I would recommend donating $ and going elsewhere! This place is staffed by committed volunteers. If you want a cat or dog give this place a visit. Staff are helpful and will guide you through the process of fostering or adoption

Awesome place which is run by lovely and friendly volunteers. The cats have spacious and clean areas to roam around. APS also sell cat carriers, litter boxes and a few other items for pets.

One must question the true belief in animal welfare of this organisation ation where management have refused to return a senior dog Arlo to a loving owner who raised well over $2000 for the organisation ation and slept in his kennel with him. We have personally donated many hundreds of dollars to APS but will never again support such a callous and seemingly ego driven organisation. We will instead support animal welfare associations who care for animals and adopters and suggest other friends do the same.

We had agreed to adopt a dog but they wanted to meet our dogs first. Completely understandle so booked the first opportunity in which was 6 days away.The next day they called and tried to lie about the shire not allowing us 3 dogs.We had already spoken to the shire that day and got the okay and had screen shots of the shires website stating the law. They went quiet and had to make a call". They called back and sheepishly tried to keep the lie going. An obvious deflection. After talking to 2 friends who have dealt with them previously

Why won’t the APS return Arlo to Simone? Why are they hiding the dog from a loving owner, who has adopted a senior dog and was in the most loving environment. This is a heartbreaking situation for her and dear Arlo who would be missing her terribly. Don’t take personal vendettas out on an old dog who was loving his final years with her. We have donated to you in the past for your dog sleepovers, including blankets, toys etc as a lot of her friends have, but this has stopped. She personally has raised thousands of $ for you. Please have commonsense and kindness and return him to her
